Iron Man and the DJ Gig

Friday - Angie and I had leftover Papa John’s pizza from lunch. We went to see the movie “Iron Man” and had popcorn and milk duds. Yum! The movie was pretty good, even Angie liked it. Oh, I think she liked Robert Downey Jr. more than she did the movie :-)
Saturday - I loaded up the DJ gear and headed out to Springwater Park in Muncie for Karen McGuire’s wedding reception. Karen married Jeff Lloyd Saturday morning at Molly McGuire’s house in Farmland. The reception went well. It was funny though, because I had to pull out every traditional wedding reception song out of the arsenal to get them dancing. Cha Cha Slide, Chicken Dance, YMCA, well, you get the idea.
Later that evening, Angie and I had “The Real Hacienda” for dinner (the old downtown one). Since the new Hacienda opened on Scatterfield, the one downtown is easier to get into. The Anderson prom was going on Saturday night and we saw plenty of prom dresses and tuxedos. After dinner we watched the Johnny Depp movie, “Secret Window”.
Sunday - I attended services at Bethany in Anderson where Angie was playing her sax in the big band and also switching over to the choir mid-service. Afterwards, we had Sunday lunch with the Marcum family at the Mounds Mall in the food court.
I came home and mowed 1/2 the yard. I hope the rain holds off so I can get the rest of it mowed this evening before Scouts.
